March 14, 2020 was my first day in quarantine from the Coronavirus epidemic. The day before was a regular day in New Jersey, but everything seemed to change overnight. The music on this album is a series of solo improvisations for flute with effects pedals recorded between March and May of 2020. Most tracks were written and recorded in one day. No overdubbing or multiple takes, just one raw take - directly from my heart to yours.
Looking back, these tracks form a "sound diary" of my experiences and feelings on that particular day. The Quarantine Tapes were my medicine during this time, and I hope that they are healing for you, too.
