What is Delay?
Delay creates an echo. Some delay pedals include settings such as “reverse,” in which the echoes play backwards (for example, if you play an ascending scale into a delay pedal set to “reverse,” the echoes become a descending scale) and “modulation,” in which the echoes gradually change timbre as they repeat.
