What is Fuzz?
Fuzz is an intense form of distortion and very strongly alters the sound by adding gain to the harmonics. The effect was originally designed to sound as if your amplifier (or something else in your signal chain) is broken or malfunctioning. Fuzz has a thick, harmonically-rich, lo-fi buzzing sound.
